Tulsa Music Programs

Tulsa is a thriving music city. To keep it that way, Tulsa FMAC is engaged in connecting and growing music resources in Tulsa. We are committed to creating initiatives that will better the quality of life for our local musicians and industry workers alike.

Growing Tulsa's Music Ecosystem

From efforts like Play Tulsa Music (PTM), developed to offset pandemic-era challenges, to strategically connecting local musicians with creative support services in town, Tulsa FMAC is dedicated to bolstering our local music ecosystem. Below are just a few things we’ve done so far.

Tulsa Music Month was established in 2021 as part of the Tulsa Music Strategy, to recognize the impact Tulsa music has on the city’s economy and culture. To do this, the City of Tulsa has dedicated July to all those working in, supporting, advocating for, and enjoying music in the city of Tulsa.

Tulsa FMAC created the Tulsa County Music Recovery Program (Play Tulsa Music) with the goal of providing an economic boost to the music ecosystem throughout the Tulsa region during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, 1,650 live music performances were hosted safely at venues in the Tulsa region.

The Creative Content Fund of Tulsa County Music Recovery Program (Play Tulsa Music) assisted with the cost of creative projects using small businesses in Tulsa County. As a result, $152,000 was allocated to 26 different Tulsa-based vendors for 30 local artists to pursue non-live creative projects.
